How it works

From 200M ads to the handful of creatives carrying a brand

1Filter

Cut the index down to the brands you study

Set the store platform to Shopify and 200M+ ads collapse to ecommerce brands, ranked by output, on every network. An afternoon of scrolling the Ad Library becomes one query.

Shopify stores only
One filter cuts 200M+ ads to the ecommerce brands you study. No opening brand after brand in an ad library.
Duplicates and active ads
How many ads share a creative, and how many are still live, on every creative before you open one.
2Group

Group by creative, not by ad

Twenty-seven ads can be one asset. Twenty-six ads can be nineteen different creatives. Grouping tells the two apart and shows what a brand duplicated versus what it tested, with dates on every variant.

Volume is the problem. Grouping is the answer.

A store shipping three thousand ads a month is not asking you to read them. It is asking which handful of creatives is carrying them. Duplicates and active counts sit on every creative, so the winners show before you open a single ad.

Duplicates, counted per creative
27 ads sharing one asset is a distribution decision. 19 creatives across 26 ads is a production decision. Both read the same in a list sorted by ad count. Grouping tells them apart.

The angle teardown

Every angle they tested, on one screen

One store tested nineteen different creatives on the same product. Grouped, the whole angle test reads in a minute. Because every creative keeps its own dates, you can see which angles the brand kept and which it dropped.

Boards

What you put in front of the team on Monday

A teardown is only worth doing if it leaves something behind. A Board holds the creatives, the angle set and the store together, and ships as a link your team can open on Monday.

Frequently asked questions

What creative strategists ask before they start pulling variant sets apart. Still unsure? Talk to us and we will walk you through a live teardown.

How do I tell a creative that was scaled from one that was only tested?

By reading the variant count and the run length together. Neither one settles it alone. Twenty-seven ads sharing one identical creative is a decision about distribution. Twenty-six ads carrying nineteen different creatives is a decision about production. Both look the same in any list sorted by ad count. Adplexity records how long each ad ran and which asset it used, so the two are told apart before you brief anything.

Can I see every variant of the same creative?

Yes. Ads sharing a creative are grouped, and each keeps its own record: the network, the format, the technology behind the store and the dates it was active. That grouping is what separates a store re-running one asset twenty-seven times from one that shot nineteen different creatives.

How do I find the angles a brand is testing?

Group a store by creative and the angle set becomes visible in one screen. One store in our own sample tested nineteen distinct creatives on a single product: creator demos, objection handling, mechanism explainers, story scenes, audience callouts and social proof. Because every creative keeps its own dates, you can also see which angles the brand kept and which it dropped.

How is this different from a platform’s own ad library?

An ad library shows you ads one at a time and stops. It does not group a brand by creative, so it cannot tell you that twenty-seven ads are one asset; it does not keep a creative after the advertiser pulls it; and it does not record where the click went. Adplexity does all three, across social, native, push, desktop and mobile, not one platform at a time.

Can I filter to ecommerce brands only?

Yes. The technology filter narrows the index by what a store is built with, so selecting Shopify returns ecommerce brands and drops everything else. Stack it with country, network and ad type and a category teardown becomes one query instead of opening brand after brand and counting by hand.

What happens to a creative after the advertiser takes it down?

It stays in the archive. Creatives remain searchable after they stop running, which matters for creative work because the interesting question is usually what a brand tried and dropped, not only what is live this week.
